Nothing says Halloween like a caramel apple, but this year, take it up a notch using Wai Meli Raw Honey. By using honey instead of granulated sugar, you get a sweet treat without the graininess.

With just six ingredients, you'll get six delectable treats.

  • 6 Medium/Large Apples
  • 1 Cup of Wai Meli Raw Honey (we recommend our Java Plum)
  • 3/4 Cup of 35% Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons of Butter
  • A pinch of salt
  • 6 Popsicle Sticks

Combine the Wai Meli Raw Honey, butter (softened), salt, and cream in a saucepan. Whisk frequently over medium-high heat until it starts to bubble. Once bubbling, reduce heat to medium. 

Continue to cook until the bubbles are small, and the caramel has thickened. Make sure you are whisking regularly to prevent it from bubbling over. This step takes about 25 minutes. 

Once thickened, transfer the caramel to a heat-safe mixing bowl and place it in an ice bath to cool it until it begins to thicken. Once uniformly cooled, insert popsicle sticks into the apples and roll them in the caramel to coat them one at a time.
