Our honey and cheese pizza recipe provides the perfect combination of sweet and salty. Plus, it’s easy to make and delicious to eat!



  • 3/4 cup water, room temperature
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil


  • 1 cup shredded pizza mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded fontina
  • 1/2 cup fresh ricotta  cheese
  • 2–3 tablespoons Wai Meli Raw Honey
  • Fresh ground pepper


  1. Start by pouring the water in a small bowl and sprinkling the yeast on top for the pizza crust. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Using a mixer on low speed, add the olive oil and yeast/water mixture to the flour until it is consistent. The dough should be sticky.
  4. Form the dough into a rough ball and let it sit on the counter for about two hours covered with a cheese cloth.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
  6. Coat the counter with flour and cut the now risen dough in half. Roll each ball out into a roughly 10” circle (they don’t have to be perfect)
  7. Place the circles on pizza stones (if you have them) or baking sheets and top with the mozzarella and fontina cheeses, and then add dollops of the ricotta on top.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes (or until the crust is a golden brown and the cheese has melted).
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Once cooled, drizzle your favorite Wai Meli Raw Honey over the cheese and cut in wedges.
